Still Have Questions?

Discover Your Inner Artist is fully standards-based, aligning with state and national visual arts standards while supporting critical thinking, creativity, and social-emotional learning.

The curriculum reinforces skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and cultural awareness. Lessons integrate with history, literature, and science themes, with cross-curricular connection suggestions included in each lesson.

Everyone can be an artist! The curriculum includes detailed lesson plans requiring no prior art expertise, designed for both novice and veteran teachers. Professional development builds confidence, emphasizing teachers as facilitators of the creative process.

Success is measured primarily through student enthusiasm for creating art. Academic outcomes include formative and summative assessments focusing on growth, creativity, and engagement.

The curriculum uses Universal Design for Learning principles, providing multiple means of engagement, representation, and expression to ensure all students can participate fully regardless of learning needs.

Main challenges include teacher confidence and materials management. These are addressed through targeted professional development, clear guidelines, and ongoing team support.

The curriculum aligns with CASEL’s five core competencies: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making through art activities that encourage reflection, empathy, communication, and collaboration.

Schools can organize art exhibitions, community events, and student work displays to celebrate creativity, foster community, and highlight arts education importance.

Research supports arts education benefits for academic achievement, social-emotional development, and student well-being.
